Evolution of NZ Land Use Changes

Corporate Logistics documented the changing patterns of New Zealand land use over a 10-year period.

Analysis of total farm numbers were seperately completed covering both North and South Island farming units for the following fields:

Farm holdings numbers, total area of farm land, average farm size and mapping the evolution of New Zealand farm land in grassland, crops, grain, nursery, vegetables and fruit.

Findings and supply chain recomendations were presented to the farm machinery sector for best practice concerning inventory levels. Predicted changes for farm machinery type and specification with respect to the evolution of New Zealand farming practice were also presented.
